Apple introduced a dedicated Save Video Frame as Photo option in the Photos app for iOS 27.
This native feature allows users to extract specific moments from video recordings as standalone images, eliminating the need for third-party applications or manual screenshots.
The tool integrates directly into the standard photo library workflow, saving the selected frame as a separate photo file.
Users can locate the newly saved image by navigating to the Collections tab, scrolling to Recent Days, and selecting Saved Today.
