Geely Galaxy TT delivers 800-volt architecture at $19,170, a price with no U.S. equivalent

The constraint that separates entry-level EVs from fast-charge capable ones is the drivetrain voltage.

Below 400 volts, charge times stretch; at 800 volts with a 6C charge rate, the gap between a pit stop and a meaningful range top-up closes to minutes.

Geely Auto (GELYY) built that architecture into its Galaxy TT sedan and launched it on Sept. 10 at 129,900 yuan, roughly $19,170, according to CnEVPost.

The entry trim carries a 63.8-kWh lithium iron phosphate pack sourced from CATL with a claimed range of 640 km on China's Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle, approximately 398 miles.
