Hollywood's billion-dollar box office is back, and Spider-Man just joined the list

The billion-dollar theatrical gross has returned as a repeating benchmark, no longer the rare event it briefly became.

Spider-Man is the latest title to clear it, and box office analysts say the accumulation of billion-dollar releases points toward genuine recovery momentum for a film industry still below pre-Covid levels.
