Okta jumps 15% as AI proliferation drives identity security demand

Enterprise identity platforms are facing a structural new load.

Every AI agent, automated workflow, and machine-to-machine session that enters an organization's infrastructure needs to be authenticated and governed, and the number of those non-human identities is scaling faster than traditional access management architectures were built to handle.

Okta posted results that topped estimates, sending shares up 15%, with new products accounting for 30% of total bookings and dozens of AI deals closed in the period.
