Sandringham Estate in Norfolk resolved that equation Tuesday by listing the historic Water Tower for short-stay rental, with nightly rates beginning at 151 pounds, a little over $200, declining on longer bookings.
The structure behind the listing The tower was designed by engineer James Mansergh and supplied fresh water to the royal residence for close to a century after its 1877 construction.
Its form is neo-Byzantine and circular, built with a brickwork exterior that makes sympathetic renovation expensive to execute.
