1 hit "Da Doo Ron Ron" and whose role as Joe Hardy on ABC's "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries" made him a household name, stated that his final performance was at the Astrodome.
He clarified that this departure was not driven by a lack of passion for performing, but rather by the superior quality of life offered by his subsequent career in television.
"I found that writing and producing TV gave me, frankly, a much better life," Cassidy said. The transition from performer to producer allowed Cassidy to pursue creative work that he compared to magic.
