Three killed, eighteen wounded in separate Trenton and Chicago mass shootings twelve minutes apart

Two mass shootings separated by roughly twelve minutes and hundreds of miles left three people dead and eighteen wounded in the early hours of Sunday, as police in Trenton, New Jersey and on Chicago's South Side searched for suspects.

The Trenton shooting Trenton police responded to a neighborhood near 194 Locust Street at approximately 12:25 a.m. local time Sunday after multiple shots were reported. Officers found eleven people who had been shot.

Two were pronounced dead; nine others were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

Police had not released the conditions of those nine survivors as of Sunday, and the names of those killed had not been confirmed. Reed Gusciora said in a statement that officials were still learning about the victims.
