Amazon has introduced two new artificial intelligence gadgets designed to listen to conversations, generate notes, and issue reminders. The first device, the Bee Frontier, is a silicone wristband that can also be clipped to clothing and is priced at $74.99. The second, the Bee Eclipse, is a credit card-sized unit that magnetically attaches to the back of a smartphone and costs $99.99.

The hardware is engineered by Bee, an AI wearable manufacturer that Amazon acquired last year. Both devices feature microphones that transcribe meetings or everyday conversations, allowing users to document moments without using their hands. According to Amazon, the systems analyze these interactions to recommend personalized goals and actions. The company describes the technology as a tool that captures details users might otherwise forget and converts them into conversation summaries, to-do lists, reminders, and insights.

In practical use, if a user is on a phone call planning a vacation, the Bee devices will create a summary of the trip, recording specifics such as flight times or hotel reservations. Amazon stated that users can connect the Bee devices to existing applications like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook. This integration allows the AI technology to draft follow-up emails or create calendar invites based on the content of previous discussions.

The devices also link to Amazon’s Alexa+ and Amazon.com platforms. Basic features, including conversation summaries, recaps, and 14 days of memory, are available for free. Advanced capabilities, such as integration with Alexa+ and Amazon.com along with suggested to-dos, require a Bee Pro subscription costing $11.99 per month.

Amazon highlighted privacy protections in its release, asserting that no one, including the company itself, can access user data. The company explained that audio recordings are deleted after the Bee devices transcribe them and that data remains inaccessible unless the user chooses to share it.

These new products enter a market for AI gadgets valued at a trillion dollars, where multiple companies are marketing consumer-focused hardware. Meta recently announced Muse, an AI assistant designed as a pocket-sized keychain. Other firms introducing AI-powered products for consumers include Microsoft, OpenAI, and Samsung.
