Apple has launched the HomeView, a smart speaker equipped with a touchscreen display. The device is available in silver, starlight, rose pink, and space grey. According to The Verge, the HomeView features a small, vibrant screen mounted on a speaker base. The hardware is designed for video calls, photo display, and information retrieval via Apple's Siri AI voice assistant. The Verge notes that the device's square shape is less imposing than larger competitors such as Google's Nest Hub Max or Amazon's Echo Show 11. A reporter for The Verge stated they received a first look at the device in New York City this week. The publication described the HomeView as the centerpiece of Apple's new offering.
