Google announced Playground today. It is a new browser-based platform for creating custom games from AI prompts. The service is available in the United States for users aged 18 and older at playground.google.

The company calls it an "experimental gaming platform" that "lowers the barriers to creation." No coding experience is required. A Google blog post explains the process. "With Playground's conversational interface, you can direct the game just by typing what you want to build." Users can start from a blank canvas, remix starter prompts, or use guided support. They can test the result right away. The blog post notes that creators can tweak physics or rewrite elements.
