A jury has found Ohio political blogger DJ Byrnes guilty of telecommunications harassment after he sent an explicit image of Shrek to a Republican state senator. According to a report by the Columbus Dispatch, a judge ordered Byrnes, who owns the political commentary blog The Rooster, to pay a $200 fine on Friday. The incident occurred in May after Ohio Sen. Jerry Cirino dropped out of the state's Senate presidential race. Byrnes texted Cirino a nude image of the animated character along with a message that read, "Good to see you finally made your humiliation public, Young Mussolini! THE PATRIOTS CAUCUS sends its regards!!!!!!!!!!" Cirino subsequently filed a police report regarding the communication.
