OpenAI has announced a new agent platform called Dots. The company describes the tool as enterprise software that can also perform personal tasks such as ordering dinner. Users interact with blobby, anthropomorphic avatars with customizable names. This design mirrors the aesthetic of Meta's Muse. However, Dots are positioned with a clear emphasis on workplace utility. They function as professional tools that happen to be able to handle errands. Currently, users receive one Dot. OpenAI states that the ability to have multiple agents will be added in the future. The interface allows users to chat with the agent in one window while following its work in another.
