Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy SmartTag 3, its third-generation Bluetooth tracker. The device features a smaller form factor and improved battery life, alongside new tracking capabilities designed to facilitate sharing location data across different operating systems.

The SmartTag 3 utilizes a squircle design reminiscent of the original model, though it lacks a built-in key ring cutout. Users wishing to attach the tracker directly to keys or a carabiner must purchase a separate protective case from Samsung. The hardware carries an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water.

The announcement follows earlier leaks regarding the device's specifications. The new cross-OS support aims to make it easier for owners to share tracking information with friends and family who use devices from other manufacturers.
