Serato has released its professional DJ software for iPhone and iPad, marking the first time the company's flagship features have been available on a mobile platform. Prior to this launch, Serato's mobile presence consisted of limited applications like Pyro, which focused primarily on adding autofades to playlists rather than offering full mixing capabilities.
The new iOS app allows users to transfer their library directly from Serato DJ 5.0 on a laptop to an iOS device. This migration can be completed over a USB-C connection or wirelessly. For DJs accustomed to the desktop version, the workflow is designed to feel immediately familiar. The release places Serato in direct competition with Rekordbox and Algoriddim, which have offered comprehensive mobile DJ applications for some time.
