The Verge has begun testing Nvidia's new RTX Spark N1X processor, which is available in Windows laptops from six different manufacturers. The publication's staff has collectively tested four of these devices so far. The RTX Spark is designed as a high-performing Arm-based system on a chip for laptops and small desktop computers. It aims to rival the best offerings from Apple, Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm. The chip features a large number of cores and Nvidia RTX Blackwell graphics. It supports sizable local AI models through its power and unified memory. Microsoft's Surface Laptop Ultra serves as the flagship placement, featuring 128GB of unified memory. The Verge's Tom Warren has fully reviewed that specific model. Sean Hollister has been testing a 64GB version of an Asus laptop.
