President Donald Trump announced Sunday the creation of a new federal "Super Intelligence Force" to direct government coordination in the artificial intelligence sector. In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that the force is tasked with ensuring the United States continues to lead the world in "Super Intelligence." The new organization will oversee federal interactions across consumer, public-interest, and religious sectors, as well as with critical infrastructure providers and technology companies. Trump described the technology as "bigger than the Industrial Revolution, and the Internet," claiming it would protect the interests and improve the lives of all Americans. Senior administration officials will lead the SIF, with the group reporting directly to Trump and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles. The announcement coincides with reports that an AI czar appointment is nearing completion.
