Charles Ducking, 76, allegedly admitted to consuming rum and using cocaine during a traffic stop in Waverly, Florida, four months after a prior driving under the influence arrest, the Polk County Sheriff's Office reported.
Highway 27, where a sheriff's deputy observed the vehicle swerving before initiating the stop. Upon approach, the deputy detected the odor of alcohol and noted that Ducking had slurred speech and watery eyes.
When requested to provide identification, Ducking stated his driver's license was suspended due to a previous DUI conviction.
According to the sheriff's office, Ducking then presented a silver thermal cup containing a brown liquid, identifying it as rum.
