Apple Music's red app icon has reportedly been replaced with a black-and-white version in the latest iOS 27.2 beta, according to 9to5Mac. The eighth note on the new icon features a slightly sharper angle than the original design. This visual change aligns with a new Apple Music logo spotted last month on the Apple Music Hall website, suggesting the company may be refreshing its branding to match. 9to5Mac describes the updated icon as displaying a black music note on a white background in light mode, while reversing the colors in dark mode. The color drain extends beyond the main icon; 9to5Mac reports that Apple Music widgets now feature black backgrounds. The Verge notes that these changes are part of a broader update to the app's appearance.
