The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a Gulfstream G100 jet carrying six people that disappeared Saturday morning while en route from Bermuda to Boston. The aircraft lost contact early in the morning, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, and authorities have deployed air and surface crews to the waters off the coast of Nantucket.

The twin-engine, mid-size jet is Canadian-registered and owned by Latitude Air Ambulance, a medical transport company that repatriates patients requiring specialized care. FlightAware data indicates the plane departed Bermuda International Airport at 11:41 p.m. ET. The Coast Guard Northeast District confirmed the deployment of resources to locate the missing aircraft.

Latitude Air Ambulance, the FAA, and the National Transportation Safety Board did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the incident.
