Denise Richards stated on The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show that she unknowingly covered the payroll and severance of an employee with whom her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, allegedly had an affair. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star discussed the financial aspects of her marriage during an October 13 episode, asserting that the woman was a colleague of Phypers at his workplace. "I paid her payroll, her severance," Richards said. "I don't know how she looked me in the face." Richards said she did not learn of the alleged infidelity, which she described as one of "multiple" affairs, until the couple separated. Representatives for both Richards and Phypers did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment regarding the new claims. These remarks come nearly a year after a court granted Richards a five-year permanent restraining order against Phypers. The order, issued on November 7, 2025, follows a legal dispute involving accusations of physical and emotional abuse and is set to expire on November 7, 2030. In October 2025, Phypers was arrested in court on spousal abuse charges related to two separate incidents that occurred in 2017 and 2022, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital. During court proceedings, Richards testified that Phypers attempted to damage her reputation during their separation. She alleged that he leaked nude photos of her after she claimed he stole her laptop. "It's been difficult for my daughters, especially with the naked photos," Richards told the judge. "I'm so embarrassed and shameful as a mom. [My daughter] couldn't go to church." Richards shares two daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen and one daughter with Phypers. In a statement to People, Phypers denied Richards' allegations. In documents filed on July 16, Richards detailed specific instances of alleged physical violence. She claimed that Phypers frequently choked her, squeezed her head and arms, slapped her face and head, and slammed her head into a bathroom towel rack. Richards also stated that he threatened to kill her and held her down with his knee on her back until she pleaded for him to stop. Additionally, she alleged that he hacked into her laptop and phone to download text messages and regularly threatened to "break my jaw" before promising to get help, which she said never occurred. Richards claimed these actions caused at least three concussions.
