Moms for Liberty is deploying an artificial intelligence system called M4L AWARE to scan school board agendas across more than 13,000 districts in the United States. The organization states the tool is designed to alert parents to controversial policies before local officials vote on them, according to information obtained by Fox News Digital.

Tina Descovich, co-founder and CEO of Moms for Liberty, told Fox News Digital in a statement that the initiative follows what she described as federal targeting of parents who attended school board meetings. "The Biden admin targeted our parents for showing up to school board meetings, but we were just getting started," Descovich said. She added that the organization anticipates increased engagement once parents receive timely information about local discussions.

The system, which stands for Agenda Watch, Alert, Response, and Engage, operates by scanning agendas every 12 hours for specific topics. These include diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, gender policies, curriculum changes, and Title IX matters. When the algorithm identifies a high-priority item, it sends local Moms for Liberty chapters a plain-language summary and a ready-to-share alert. The goal is to help parents organize before meetings occur.

Descovich said the platform provides chapters with a window of roughly 72 hours to mobilize supporters, sign up for public comment, and scrutinize proposals before board members cast their votes. She noted that manually reviewing thousands of pages of agendas weekly is time-consuming, a burden that school districts rely on to limit parental scrutiny. The AI tool aims to identify concerning policies that may be buried deep within agendas or released late in the week.

The launch follows a report from the Justice Department's Weaponization Working Group released on Monday. The report stated that the FBI opened 25 "Guardian assessments" involving parents after then-Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a memorandum on Oct. 4, 2021, addressing threats against school officials. According to the report, an FBI whistleblower disclosed that one mother was investigated based on a tip identifying her as a gun owner and a member of a "right-wing mom's group." A separate joint release from the Department of Justice and the Department of Education identified that organization as Moms for Liberty.

The Working Group concluded that the 2021 memo was the product of pressure from the White House and wrongly weaponized the Department of Justice against parents.
