Panic's Playdate handheld has released its third season. It is a curated collection of eight new titles that expands the device's game library. The company describes these seasons as sets of games launched over a short period. The current cycle delivers two new releases per week. This expansion strengthens the value proposition of the yellow handheld. It debuted in 2022. The device distinguishes itself from other gaming hardware with a black-and-white screen and a physical crank on its side. As prices rise across the broader gaming industry, the Playdate's growing catalog offers a distinct alternative for players. The new season marks the latest addition to the platform's steadily increasing collection of software.
