Shelly has introduced the Presence Gen4, a smart home accessory that uses millimeter wave radar to detect up to ten people simultaneously without using a camera. The device tracks presence, motion, and activity for both people and pets in rooms or large spaces.
The sensor is available immediately for $84.99 through Shelly's online store. The company expects the product to reach other retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy, in the near future. This launch follows the release of Shelly's $50 subscription-free security camera last month.
Users can position the Presence Gen4 on a shelf or table using its built-in stand or mount it permanently. The design allows for flexible placement while maintaining its function of monitoring movement without recording video.
