TP-Link announced plans to assemble Wi-Fi routers in the United States as it seeks approval from the Trump administration to sell its newest devices to American consumers. The company stated that domestic assembly of its Wi-Fi 8 home networking product line is expected to begin as early as 2027, pending US regulatory approval. This timeline remains uncertain, as the administration could reject the application or leave it pending long enough to push the start of US-based assembly to 2028.

To support this shift, TP-Link signed a Letter of Intent with Keytronic, a US-based company. Keytronic agreed to become a primary domestic manufacturing partner for TP-Link, supporting the assembly of the company's advanced networking portfolio in Corinth, Mississippi.
