A Facebook video shared by Tom Miranda is circulating online, showing a coyote launching itself into the air to snatch a pear from a tree. The clip captures the animal executing a significant vertical jump to reach the fruit.
Miranda posted the footage with the caption "Coyote eating pears!" The video highlights the coyote's agility as it secures the piece of fruit. While the location of the footage is not specified, coyotes are common in rural areas of America, including Wisconsin, where hunting them is a popular activity.
Many people in these regions view coyotes as nuisances due to their attacks on livestock, young calves, and family pets. Despite this reputation for causing problems for landowners and pet owners, the viral nature of the clip underscores the appeal of unexpected wildlife behavior on social media platforms.
